Nathalie Stutzmann was already a globally renowned contralto when she made her conducting debut with our orchestra with a St Matthew Passion that NRC described as excelling in ‘melodic tension, transparency and dance-like phrasing’. Now, having made her international breakthrough as a conductor and only rarely heard as a singer, she returns to conduct and sing Bach, including the poignant cantata Ich habe genug.
