Tchaikovsky Symphony no. 6 Pathétique
The ‘Pathétique’ is the gripping high point of Tchaikovsky’s symphonic oeuvre. Tchaikovsky died soon after the world première of his Sixth Symphony in St Petersburg, probably by his own hand. Gergiev conducts the work in a compact and powerful concert.
