‘Who would not fall for these pyrotechnics?’ wondered the panel of reviewers at France Musique after hearing Poulenc’s Concerto played by Lucas and Arthur Jussen and Stéphane Denève. Echoes of gamelan, hints of Mozart and fragments of cabaret music merge into a sparkling cocktail in the best Parisian tradition. More fireworks from the City of Light will be presented by Ravel and Debussy. Irrésistible.
