About the symphony
Symphonie fantastique tells the story of an artist and the attempts to conquer his dream woman. When love remains unanswered, the protagonist uses opium to repress his love sorrow. The hallucinations that follow lead to a drama full of violence and death. This story and the revolutionary way in which Berlioz uses the orchestra to tell his ideas, makes this an unique symphony. A piece that you must have heard live!
