Program

conductor Adam Hickox | storyteller Bram van Oers
Prokofiev Peter and the Wolf

About this performance

The musical fairytale that is perhaps the most famous, Peter and the Wolf, is coming alive this afternoon. Actor Bram van Oers tells the story about the brave Peter and the angry wolf. All characters that are present in the story are translated to one or several instruments: the violin as Peter, the oboe as duck, the flute as the little bird, the bassoon as grumpy grandfather, the clarinet as the clever cat and of course the timpani as hunters and the horns as angry wolves. A perfect concert to introduce little music lovers to the symphonic orchestra.
