About this concert

Passionately in love, Prokofiev began his Violin Concerto No. 1: a dreamy melody that rises beyond seventh heaven on wings of ecstasy. The young composer's love did not last, but his music proved immortal, with Lisa Batiashvili ('pure, gorgeous, fabulous' - New York Times) as the ideal interpreter. Schumann's Fourth is also one big love song, with a heartfelt Romanze as its warm beating heart.
