London may have been its birthplace but the Rotterdam Philharmonic established its own Proms tradition more than 50 years ago – the first orchestra on the European continent to do so. A piece of cake for Valery Gergiev. He chose six trinkets from the Golden Era of orchestral music, turning them into glittering jewels in this concert. The result is a Rotterdam ‘Last Night’ that makes sparks fly. Enjoy!
