I started at the Rotterdam Philharmonic in 1992 as a violinist. In that year I played a piece from Jeffrey Tate, that beautiful sound has stayed with me.
My fondest memory of the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra is from when I, almost 25 years ago, went to the south of Rotterdam with the metro to play an Opzoomer concert. Al throughout the metro there were musicians from the orchestra and we started to sing the original Opzoomer song out of nowhere. The stunned but amused faces from the other passengers made it a fun moment. That might have been the first flash mob ever!
In my free time I like to be busy in my garden. I like to trim, mow, stare at the birds and the frogs which live happily in our garden. Walks, dinners and fun trips with my husband are also very fun.
