Biography

Jimmi Jo Hueting

Jimmi Jo Hueting is a drummer and composer/producer living in Rotterdam. 

In 2013 he graduated with a 9 at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague and did an exchange with the prestigious Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris. After this, he followed a master's program at Codarts Rotterdam, which he completed with a 9.5. During his final year of study in 2015, he won the Erasmus Jazz Award with his own band. Since then he has grown into an active participant of the Dutch jazz scene. For example, he plays with Jasper Blom, Bart Wirtz, Dick De Graaf, Stefan Lievestro and Louk Boudesteijn, among others. In 2018 Jimmi did the viptour with Sebastiaan van Bavel and played with De Graaf at North Sea Jazz. 

In addition to his jazz pursuits, Jimmi is fully occupied with his own band Jo Goes Hunting. Jimmi writes everything himself and also records all the instruments himself. He plays drums and sings live and is accompanied by a 4-piece band. 

The first singles were immediately picked up online with many streams worldwide. As a follow-up, Jo Goes Hunting debuted with the full album 'Come, Future'. After several performances at home and abroad, the follow-up will be released on November 15, 2019.
