About this concert

Conductor Lahav Shani
Veerhavenconcert 2017

For sixteen years, the OVG Veerhaven Concert brought the most beautiful classical music to one of the most beautiful places in Rotterdam in the most beautiful time of the year. The fifteenth volume, Saturday, August 26, 2017, was provided by our orchestra under the direction of - at that time - future chief conductor Lahav Shani. A festive anniversary edition with an entirely Russian program. Simon Trpceski performed the first part of Tchaikovsky's First Piano Concerto, soprano Charlotte Houdijk sang arias from operas by Tchaikovsky and Rimsky-Korsakov and the orchestra excelled in classics from Glinka's overture Russlan and Ludmilla to the immortal Flower Waltz from The Nutcracker.

This stream will be available from Friday August 21, 2020, 5:00 PM
