Rarely have we longed for Bach's St Matthew Passion as fervently as we do now. Even though our orchestra was still able to play a miniature passion online during the lockdown (this time also with Jan Willem de Vriend, the Laurens Collegium and beautiful soloists), nothing beats live. After two years of waiting, this integral performance with the audience becomes an intense release, both musically and emotionally.
