The concerts of the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra mainly take place in the Grote Zaal of the Doelen. Click here to view the floor plan of this concert hall.

Please note: the number of available seats and the division into ranks may differ from the attached map depending on the concert. If you order tickets for a concert online, you will always see the correct floor plan during your order when you select a seat yourself.

The Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra charges € 1 per ticket (included in the ticket price) for service costs, which is necessary to cover the costs associated with making your concert tickets (technically) possible. In addition, we charge € 3.50 per order if you wish to receive printed tickets to cover the costs of producing and sending these tickets. We do not charge extra costs for an order with e-tickets.

If you are unexpectedly unable to attend a concert, you can exchange or cancel your tickets up to two days before the concert. We charge € 5 per exchange plus or minus any price difference. If you don't have another concert in mind, you will receive a voucher from us for the amount of your tickets, minus € 5 in cancellation costs. Read the conditions here.

If you opt for e-tickets, you will receive a confirmation of the transaction by e-mail containing a link to a download (PDF file or Wallet) containing your e-tickets.

Please note: the confirmation email is not your ticket.

No, you can choose yourself. If you have opted for e-tickets, you can choose to show the e-tickets on your smartphone. To do this, set your screen to the brightest position and enlarge the barcode. You can also print out your tickets purchased online at home. When you visit the concert, show the printout of your e-ticket.

Cash can no longer be paid at the cash register of De Doelen.

In principle, you can still buy tickets online via the website until the concert starts.

Before and during the concert

FAQ before and during the concert

The Grote Zaal of the Doelen is easily accessible for wheelchair users. You must reserve these places in advance by telephone. There is an induction loop for the hearing impaired.

If you arrive after the start of a concert, you will be given the opportunity to enter the hall at the next concert interruption. Until then, you can follow the concert on the stage of the Grote Zaal via monitors in the foyer. Arriving late does not entitle you to a refund.

People applaud at classical concerts when all parts of a piece of music have been played. Not sure when a piece of music is over? Then, just to be sure, wait until the rest of the room starts clapping.

There are no dress codes.

We do not have a minimum age for concerts. We have special family shows for young visitors.

Please note: A ticket is required for all visitors.

Unfortunately this isn't possible. However, de Doelen is located in the center of Rotterdam and you will find numerous restaurants and cafes nearby.

Sound and image recordings are not permitted without permission from the musicians and management. Contact our Customer Service on telephone number 010 322 53 22 (Tue-Fri 10.00-16.00) or mail to info@rpho.nl for permission.

Bags, backpacks and umbrellas are not allowed in the hall, you can leave them at the guarded cloakroom.
