Lahav Shani plays Mozart
Chief conductor Lahav Shani conducts and plays Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 23

Has there ever been anything more moving written for piano and orchestra than the middle movement of Mozart's Concerto No. 23? An adagio of otherworldly purity, heartbreaking and comforting at the same time, surrounded by two effervescent allegros to keep it tolerable. All this is again framed by the work of Mozart’s soulmate Medelssohn: the Scottish symphony and Meeresstille und glückliche Fahrt, balm for the soul.
At 7.15 pm there will be a concert introduction by Wim Ruitenbeek and Galahad Samson (orchestra members) in the Van Cappellenzaal
