Proms: The Four Seasons

Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons are – like the seasons themselves – centuries old and yet forever new. In vivid colours this music paints the singing birds of spring, the summer thunderstorms, the harvest celebrations of autumn and the icy pleasures of winter. Shunske Sato, who has made a worldwide name as musical director of the Netherlands Bach Society, performs the tightrope act of the violin solos.
