Rival families, noble pride, envy, revenge and a fatal passion: Romeo and Juliet is a story that has it all.

Two rival families, noble pride, envy, revenge, and a fatal passion: Romeo and Juliet is a story that has it all. Often set to music, but never as compelling as by Prokofiev. Highlights of his ballet music (including the iconic Dance of the Knights, the moonlit balcony scene, and the guttural conclusion) are preceded by Mozart's Jeunehomme. Irresistible.

This program was originally going to be conducted by our chief conductor Lahav Shani. Because Lahav is expecting his first child at the beginning of April, he will temporarily stop working from mid-March. In this program he is replaced by Valentin Uryupin. The concert on Thursday 21 March is cancelled. Ticket buyers have been informed about this.
