Vienna: from Mozart to Webern

Symphonic26 May '24(Past)

An afternoon in Vienna, musical capital of the world.

For two centuries, Vienna was the musical capital of the world. Mozart wrote his late masterpieces there, including the otherworldly beautiful Symphony No. 40. Korngold and Berg caused a stir with their early songs, youthful works of intoxicating beauty. And Webern, with his colourful orchestration of the Ricercar, showed how Bach might have sounded if he had been a Viennese.
