Yuja Wang waves off as our Artist in Residence with twice Rachmaninoff

Most soloists already have their hands full with the fireworks from Rachmaninov's First Piano Concerto. To play it as a warm-up for his Paganini Rhapsody, you have to be called Yuja Wang. With this spectacular double-bill, she waves off as our Artist in Residence. This concert does not end there: finally, Sibelius' glorious Second, conducted by super talent Tarmo Peltokoski: the debut of the year.
On Thursday 19 and Friday 20 May at 7.15 pm there will be a concert introduction by Kees Wisse in the Van Cappellenzaal.

This concert was originally to be conducted by Valery Gergiev. He will be replaced by 21-year-old Finnish conductor Tarmo Peltokoski.
