The King’s Singers are coming to the Netherlands
They’re coming back: in 2025, The King’s Singers will once again take to the Dutch stage with a beautiful Christmas concert!

In December 2025, The King’s Singers are coming to the Netherlands. This British a cappella ensemble has been a world-renowned phenomenon for over fifty years. With their flawless vocals, English charm, and a generous dose of humor, every performance is a true celebration—delighting both devoted fans and curious newcomers alike. An evening with The King's Singers is guaranteed to be a joy.
Who are The King’s Singers?
The King’s Singers were founded in 1968 at King’s College in Cambridge. Six students, blessed with golden vocal cords and a healthy dose of British quirkiness, decided to form an ensemble together. Initially, they were all members of the renowned King’s College Choir, where they sang classical choral music. But they were craving something different: more freedom, more stylistic variety, and above all, more joy in singing. What began as a musical student project quickly evolved into a world-famous vocal phenomenon.
They didn’t immediately call themselves “The King’s Singers,” but the name was an obvious choice, given their background at King’s College. What made them unique from the start was their fixed line-up: six voices in a specific formation (2 countertenors, tenor, 2 baritones, bass). This allowed them to explore a remarkable richness of tone colors and styles – something that would become their trademark.
Their big break came not long after they officially began in 1968. They were “discovered” by a BBC producer who heard them perform in London. Impressed by both their musicality and their charisma on stage, he invited them to appear on television. That performance – at a time when few vocal ensembles performed at such a high level and with such flair – made a huge impact. A record deal followed, they began touring internationally, and the rest, as they say, is history.
