Beste Yıldız began playing the cello at the age of nine at Çukurova University State Conservatory with Viatcheslav Kainov. In 2019, he continued his studies at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague with Larissa Groeneveld, where he completed both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees with distinction. He was awarded the Excellence Scholarship by the Fonds KC, as well as receiving support from the Dr. Nejat F. Eczacıbaşı Music Fonds.

Beste has participated in masterclasses with musicians including Maria Kliegel, Jens Peter Maintz, Giovanni Sollima, and Jean-Guihen Queyras. As a versatile soloist and active chamber musician, Beste regularly performs across the Netherlands and Turkey, featuring in orchestral solo engagements and premiering contemporary work. He has also played at music festivals in Turkey as well as the Netherlands and Germany. He has held principal cello positions with the Turkish National Youth Philharmonic Orchestra and the Dutch National Youth Orchestra. Currently he performs with Kali Ensemble, Numen Collective, Ensemble Orochi and Opera Spanga. Beste plays a Gaetano Chiocchi cello, made in Padua around 1870 and labelled “Carlo Antonio Testore”, on loan from the Het Muziekinstrumentenfonds.
