Diego Pajares Espiga began his flute studies at the age of 8 at the Conservatorio Profesional de Música de Palencia. In 2020, he won the first prize at the Intercentros Melómano Competition in the Pre-Bachelor category, as well as the third prize at the 5th Competition of the Asociación de Flautistas de España.

As a soloist Diego performed Mozart's Flute Concerto, accompanied by the Orchestra Filarmonía de Granada (in the Auditorium Manuel de Falla), in the Museg (Segovia), with Momentum Toledo and with the Chamber Music Association of Alicante. In 2025, he won second prize at the Dutch Flute Competition in the Bachelor category. He also won second price at the Wiesbaden Flute Competition and also participated to the Schelswig-Holstein Festival.

In the Netherlands, he has participated in various projects with the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, the Jong Metropole Orchestra and the Doelen Ensemble in Rotterdam. He earned a bachelor's degree in classical flute from Codarts University of the Arts in Rotterdam and graduated cum laude in 2025 thanks to Juliette Hurel (member of the RPhO Orchestra), Julie Moulin, Wim Steinmann en Beatriz Baião.
