'Last year I saw Martha Argerich live with us and I thought that was amazing. And now she's coming again in September, so I definitely want to go here. I also like the Russian programme with our chief conductor. I come from a family of choirs - there was always singing at our house - so if there is a choir, in this case the Laurens Symfonisch, a concert always has an advantage for me. I am a big fan of Janine Jansen. It doesn't really matter what she plays, although I think Sibelius' Violin Concerto is beautiful and Pärt's works are always special. The St Matthew Passion should not be missing from this list. No Easter for me without Matthäus. I've seen it at least ten times in de Doelen. For dessert, Mozart's Fourty Symphony in May, which really appeals to me, although I often find his pieces a little too frivolous and playful - I grew up more with the great Germans like Bruckner and Beethoven. I can't explain it well, but I always find this symphony exciting.'
