Philharmonic Gala

For the Love of Music

The 2024 philharmonic gala has taken place. Information on the next edition will follow shortly.

A classic top concert, an exquisite dinner, a guest list featuring leaders from the worlds of politics, business, and culture, and an iconic location in the heart of Rotterdam: the Philharmonic Gala is an event like no other. After five years of absence, it returns in full glory on Saturday, 23rd March 2024, by popular demand. A unique evening at the highest level, without an auction or lottery. Registration is now open.

The central theme of the 2024 Gala is the iconic music and captivating story of Romeo and Juliet: the triumph of love and boundless imagination. You will experience Prokofiev's masterpiece in a sensational performance by our orchestra in a large ensemble, under the baton of Conductor Valentin Uryupin. The theme will be visible in every detail of the evening, from the red carpet reception and sparkling welcome drinks to the grand dinner, after-party, until the closing of the jazz lounge. You will recognize the love for music - and its unifying, transformative, and inspiring power - as the driving force that brings everyone together on this evening.

Your attendance is a direct show of support for the Rotterdam Philharmonic: you help the orchestra continue enriching people's lives with music, transcending all geographical, cultural, and generational boundaries. But beyond being a fundraiser, the Gala is also a meeting of minds, where existing relationships deepen, new connections are made, and promising ideas take flight - in short, an evening you wouldn't want to miss.

We warmly invite you to be part of this unique event on Saturday, 23rd March 2024. You can reserve your table(s) through the reservation form below.

This program was originally going to be conducted by our chief conductor Lahav Shani. Because Lahav is expecting his first child at the beginning of April, he will temporarily stop working from mid-March. In this program he is replaced by Valentin Uryupin.

"Ambitious and adventurous. Eager and energetic. Innovative and unifying. Those who get to know the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra cannot help but become fans.
Fans of symphonic music performed at a top international level. Fans of its inspiring and daring repertoires, its versatile musicians, and inspiring conductors.

We would not be able to continue this work without the crucial support of businesses, (young) professionals and entrepreneurs. Each gift helps to promote the strong brand that is our orchestra as widely as possible. In addition, your support is a powerful signal of the cultural engagement of your business, and a boost to the business climate in Rotterdam."
