Hi, my name is Joe, I’m from the U.K and I play the double bass. I came to Amsterdam for my Master’s in 2019 and never left! I’ve had the pleasure of playing with several dutch orchestras including Rotterdam philharmonic during my time in The Netherlands and I’m very excited to start the academy in September. When not playing bass you can find me on my road bike, the tennis court or trying out a new recipe in the kitchen.
Joe Prindl found out at the age of thirteen that he wanted to be a musician, and left his parental home to study at Wells Cathedral School under the tutelage of David Heyes. In 2015, Joe won a scholarship to study double bass with Dominic Seldis and Graham Mitchell at the Royal Academy of Music in London. For further study he moved Amsterdam, and soon had the opportunity to play on a freelance basis with the best-known orchestras in the Netherlands, including the Rotterdam Philharmonic and the Concertgebouw Orchestra.
